Bourjois is one of my favourite drugstore brands, though it’s been a while since I got anything from it. Recently I picked their brand new City Radiance Foundation. For those who don’t know me, I’m all about healthy radiant skin, and since Bourjois promises to maintain a bright and glowing complexion, I thought of giving this lil’ babe a go for my dehydrated and dull skin.

The Bourjois City Radiance Foundation is presented in a pretty squeezy pastel pink tube. The texture is creamy but lightweight and blends really well almost like a tinted moisturizer with light to medium coverage and dewy finish. The formula of the foundation is all about brightening with an SPF of 30 to protect from the sun exposure with an addition of an anti-pollution screen.

From the downside, I’ve got to say that it’s not the best foundation in terms of staying power even when using a primer as by end of the day, it starts to fade. Adding to that, only 3 shades are available in Dubai which I can only imagine that many people will struggle to find a match.

Overall, I think I like the City Radiance Foundation, though I wasn’t expecting that, I find myself reaching for it on days when I only need a light base. It definitely does what it claims; it hydrates the skin whilst giving it a unified finish with a bit of luminosity. Well done Bourjois!!

Ever since I started this blog, I wanted to talk about Chamomile. It is for a fact my first choice as a beauty ingredient. I’m absolutely mad about it and would pick any product from the shelf for mentioning Chamomile… After the first post of my favorite chamomile products, I thought it’s time for round two of my obsession.

Johnson’s Baby Silky Sleek Shampoo with camomile| I basically use it as a makeup brush cleanser as it is very gently on the bristles of my brushes. Check out the details here.

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy lavender chamomile body lotion| It is an ultra creamy and nourishing lotion. It contains a lot of natural ingredients and sadly has paraben. The smell is awesome, and the fact that it contains lavender is definitely a plus for me. I really love this product.

Dry Chamomile flower| Usually I get ready made chamomile tea bags, however when I ran out before grocery date, I turn to use my dried chamomile flower. Another way to use it is through a DIY Chamomile Toner. A detailed post on this last will follow shortly.

St. Ives Fresh Skin Makeup Remover & Facial Cleanser| A gentle, non drying cleanser with a cream formula that leaves the skin soft and hydrated. I’m totally in love with this stuff and unfortunately I believe that it was discontinued and I might be holding the last tube of it on this earth. I personally use it as a second cleanser as I double cleanser as I mentioned here.

Setting powders and sprays are the only meaning of making the makeup stay put and longer. There are plenty of those out there however is it worth paying the hefty price tag for something that’s full of chemicals???  Well the answer for me is NO especially when I can get a cheaper and a better version using natural ingredients. I have normal to dry skin which makes me prefer the sprays over powder. In this post, I’d share with you my latest DIY makeup setting spray which I’m obsessed with. It smells divine, my skin is super soft after and it got a lasting power too.

For this spray, I only use the 100ml spray bottle for a couple of weeks supply as there are no preservative and then I can make fresh batches every now and then.

What you need:

Rose Water.

Glycerin.

100 ml Spray Bottle.

What to Do:

Combine 1 part of glycerine with 4 parts of the rose water.

Shake before use.

This setting spray takes no time to make and is dead cheap. It could also be used as a facial spritz throughout the day for glowy skin.
